Ted’s “Letter To You”

If you’re like me, you have so many favorite artists. Friends know what Jackson Browne means to me but there’s a whole slew of other musicians I love, including those I’ve interviewed on my other music podcast The Tour. I’ve lost count how many shows I’ve seen, how many stages I’ve stormed and how many hours I’ve waited by the bus to talk to my musical heroes. And I know I’m not alone. At a concert singing and dancing, the music goes to another level and transports me. I turn to a stranger standing next to me and ask, “did you just feel that?” And they smile and nod yes. Some people call me crazy, others ask if they can go to a concert with me. Either way, I’m just a big fan just like you are and I don’t apologize for my fandom.

Which takes me to my new podcast That One Lyric. Some wonder how much could you actually say about a lyric. Well, plenty especially when fans get rolling and share what that one lyric means to them and how it has shaped their lives. But it’s more than a lyric in a song on a podcast. One listener, who’s not even a big music fan, says That One Lyric provides a “universal conversation, an honest conversation that digs deep into what moves us, what drives us and what shapes us.” We’re starting with Springsteen lyrics and his fans and we’ll go from there.

So join me on this one-of-a-kind music exploration. Drop me a message and maybe you can be part of an episode too. If you’ve heard The Tour podcast, you may recall how I end each episode, “music makes everything better.” Well with That One Lyric, honestly, you may never listen to a song the same way again.
